From Cape to Cairo (2026-2029)
Von Kapstadt nach Kairo (2026-2029)
ENGLISH: In April 2026, we will continue our journey around the world. Starting from Cape Town, South Africa, we plan to cross Africa from south to north between 2026 and 2029. We already shipped our 4x4 from Thailand to South Africa in the spring of 2025. We are looking forward to new cultures and experiences, encounters with interesting people, and exciting adventures.
Below is a preliminary, rough overview of the planned travel route. We intend to cross Africa in three stages:
• First stage: South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Angola (2026)
• Second stage: From Namibia to Kenya (2027/28)
• Third stage: From Kenya via the Arabian Peninsula and Egypt back to Austria (2028/29)
DEUTSCH: Im April 2026 werden wir unsere Reise um die Welt fortsetzen. Von Kapstadt / Südafrika aus wollen wir in den Jahren 2026-2029 Afrika von Süden nach Norden durchqueren. Unseren Geländewagen haben wir bereits im Frühjahr 2025 von Thailand nach Südafrika verschifft. Wir freuen uns auf neue Kulturen und Eindrücke, Begegnungen mit interessanten Menschen und aufregende Abenteuer.
Nachstehend ein erster noch grober Überblick über die geplante Reise-Route. Wir beabsichtigen Afrika in drei Etappen zu durchqueren:
• Erste Etappe: Südafrika, Mozambik, Namibia, Angola (2026)
• Zweite Etappe: Von Namibia nach Kenia, (2027/28)
• Dritte Etappe: von Kenia über die Arabische Halbinsel und Ägypten zurück nach Österreich (2028/29)
