New blog re Etosha NP
Ursula and I have been traveling through southern Africa since mid-April 2026: The trip began in Cape Town and took us through western and northern South Africa to Namibia.
After exploring southern Namibia in June, we stayed a few days in Windhoek and Swakopmund, and then spent ten days driving along an adventurous off-road route in an organised tour through the Kaokoveld and Damaraland, visiting Etosha National Park.
At the end of July, we continued on to Angola and drove along the fascinating Atlantic coast to the Angolan capital, Luanda. In the coming days, we’ll head inland to visit the famouse Kalandula Falls and the Pedras Negras rock formation
At the end of August, we’ll fly to São Tomé for ten days to take a little “vacation.”

Award-winning Film about Paragliding
In the summer, I made a film on the topic of “Paragliding Oldies – Paragliding as the Ideal Sport for Seniors.” The video won first place in the Austrian AERO Club's 2025 film competition.
The 23-minute film is not about “higher, further, faster” but about the fascination of paragliding and flying in old age. The film makes you want to fly and emphasizes that you can practice this sport into old age. You can watch the film on YouTube at the following link:

Neuer Blog über Etosha NP
Seit Mitte April 2026 fahren Ursula und ich durch das südliche Afrika: Die Reise begann in Kapstadt und führte über den Westen und Norden Südafrikas nach Namibia.
Nachdem wir im Juni den Süden Namibias bereisten verbrachten wir einige Tage in Windhoek und Swakopmund und fuhren in der Folge auf einer abenteuerlichen Off-Road Strecke zehn Tage lang durch das Kaokoveld und das Damaraland und besuchten den Etosha NP.
Ende Juli reisten wir weiter nach Angola und fuhren entlang der faszinierenden Atlantik Küste bis zur angolanischen Hauptstadt Luanda. In den nächsten Tage werden wir im Landesinneren die Kalandula Wasserfällen und die Piedras Negras Felsen besuchen .
Ende August fliegen wir für zehn Tage nach Sao Tomé um etwas “Urlaub” zu machen.

Preisgekrönter Film über das Paragleiten
Ich habe im Sommer einen Film zum Thema „Paragleit-Oldies – Gleitschirmfliegen als idealer Seniorensport “ gedreht. Das Video erzielte beim 2025 Filmwettbewerb des österreichischen AERO-Clubs den ersten Platz. Der 23-minütige Film handelt nicht vom „Höher, Weiter, Schneller“ sondern von der Faszination des Paragleitens und dem Fliegen im Alter. Der Film macht Lust aufs Fliegen und unterstreicht, dass man diesen Sport bis ins höhere Alter ausüben kann. Sie können den Film unter folgendem Link auf YouTube ansehen:
